Our First Home School Co-op

Today was our very first Home School Co-op. The subject was the Olympics. What a great way to kick off opening night of the Olympics. I had the class for 3-4 year olds. and Tyler was in Stacie's class. This is the very first thing we have ever done were Tyler was with out me. It really helped me that I had met the ladies that were holding the Coop and felt comfortable with everything. Tyler was in the same building as me just in a different room. When we left he said he had sooo much fun. Megan said she had fun but she wished there more more games to play. I think she thought that Tyler maybe got to have more fun than her. I promised her next week we would try to see if there will be more games for her group. She's someone that really does well with structure and a lot of busy work. I can sit her done with a workbook and she's a happy kid. Tyler is more happy being free and with as little work as possible.
The kids got to make really neat torches with card stock and tissue paper. For the 3-4 year olds we traced there hand prints for the cone part of the torch that held the flame/tissue paper. We had a lot of fun and I really look forward to next week.

Hi Apri. I think we live in the same area and I was wondering where you go to co-op at? I am in Lexington. I have been hoping to find a co-op here, but haven't had any luck. Thanks for any help you can give me! You can email me at claytontk@aol.com
