Fun Games Book

Last week we began Rowing Three Names. The book discusses the games like Fox-and-Geese and Marbles. I didn't know what Fox and Geese was so I looked in the games book we had picked up from Books-a-Million a few months ago and there it was as well as Marbles. The book also gave more information about Marbles in the years gone by and why they were called 'aggies' I think the author did a good job on this book. I do recommend it. There are so many of the old games in it; everything from Four Square to Statues. There are ovcer 450 Games, It says for ages 3-14 but I'd say it's for ages 3- Adult, why should we grow up and stop playing games. The back of the book breaks the games down by #of players, ages of players, etc. There are games for 1-10 or more players. I'm not sure if libraries carry it or not but here is the link to it on Books A Million's website: http://www.booksamillion.com/ncom/bo...sbn=0071422463

Thanks for the link. My girls love to play games with their friends, yet they are always playing the "same old games". I may surprise them with a copy of this book in the near future. I'm sure they'll love it!

I'm new to your blog but wanted to comment. I really like your new haircut. You're very talented. I don't believe I could do that well on my own hair. I usually cut my girls' hair and my husband cuts my sons. I'd be too scared to cut my hair or my husband's, though.

How fun! I will have to look for this book. We LOVE playing games! Especially on really cold, rainy or our wonderful Southern Summer days!
